We all know that sensors are used for a variety of purposes such as in cars, lights, and at our homes too. But what is basically a sensor and how does it works? A sensor is an electric device that finds a change in its surroundings and then it generates an electrical signal which is transmitted. Simply, a sensor finds change(input) and informs its respected device to generate an output. Heat, force, movement or any other external change can be considered as input. There are different types of sensors, which work on different inputs.
Sensors work for the specific function for which they are built, such as a humidity sensor measures change in humidity and then sends this data in form of an electric signal to the respective device through a transmitter. For example,Sensors are cheaply available in the market. Therefore they are in wide use today. From doors to measuring temperature, they have a wide range of usage.
